Harmony House specializes in brain and spinal cord injury clients. We are service providers for
Worksafe BC, ICBC, Vancouver Island Health Authority, Coastal Health Authority, Interior
Health Authority, Veteran Affairs, 3rd party insurance companies, and private individuals.
Harmony House is a 2,700 sq. ft. rancher located in a residential setting with the capacity to house 6 complex care clients with private rooms. The facility has been licensed under the Community Care Facility Licensing since December 2003. The house is bright and cheery with open and spacious rooms. There are overhead ceiling lifts in all of the bedrooms and the main tub room. The house is completely wheelchair accessible and has a private, spacious back yard with a fountain and pond.
Our staff consists of highly trained professionals who have continuing education to ensure the highest standards of care are met. We have full time RN's, LPN's and RCA's on staff. The Director of Care is Debi Smith, RN BSN.
The house is owned by HDW Development Inc. and rented to HD Management Inc. The principles of HDW Development Inc. are Tormay and Heather Weflen. Heather is the Director/Administrator of HD Management Inc.

Agenda
We provide a high quality home, personalized to the individuals' needs. Our home has the capacity to
house complex care clients with private rooms. Each resident will have a Care Plan specific to his or her needs with a daily reporting system on care issues. We network
with resources in the community regarding ongoing physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and occupational therapy. Our focus is a
holistic approach encompassing the families. We provide our own highly trained staff and offer continued education to
ensure the highest standards of care. Our facility is based on a well organized corporate structure, with policies and procdures in place to ensure the residence is
well managed. We are a provincially licensed care home.
Care & Supervision Includes:
- Regular assistance with activites of daily living such as eating, mobility, dressing, grooming, bathing or other personal hygiene.
- Administering and monitoring the taking of medication.
- Central storing or distribution of medications.
- Maintenance or management of resident cash resources or property.
- Monitoring of food intake or therapeutic diets
